was involved with the occult and
this is truly a site
that brings Light into the darkness.
God bless and
protect you in this work.
See you in heaven.

Q:
I'm sorry if you've
already answered this question and I didn't see it but, Can you be a
Christian and a Wiccan? I really want to be a wiccan but I'm afraid to go to
hell! Please help me!!
A:
Being a true Christian, means
being a follower of Christ and his teachings. It means you have put your
faith in Him,
His love and payment for our sins on the Cross. Being a Wiccan means
you don't "believe" in God or Satan - but in the natural spirituality of
things.
Can you CALL yourself a "christian"
and be a Wiccan? Sadly, MANY people call themselves "christian" but
you'd never know it to look at their lives. Really, though, these two
beliefs are strongly against each other - Wiccans can't be Christians, nor
can Christians be a Wiccan.
The
Good News
is that you don't need to be afraid of going to hell, anymore. Christ paid
the price for all our sins on the cross, and if you will receive the love
and forgiveness He offers freely, you can have Eternal Life (John 3:16) and
Abundant Life (John 10:10)!

Uh yeah, I've gone from
Christian, to Wiccan, and I love it. I have no problem with Christians,
or any other type of people. However, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't
put down the Wiccan religion... Your religion isn't the only religion, and
to think that is ignorant and annoying.
Actually, you
obviously DO have a problem with anyone who dares to be TRUE to the
Christian faith - who you call "ignorant" & "annoying". But then God
has a BIG problem with false religions like Wicca... Which is why I
build this web site.

Here's a new one...
Some people never, ever
learn... Of course narrowminded [sic] people don't want to learn. They think they
know everything already. Rather than just telling you the truths about your
"facts" which you choose to ignore because you fear the truth, im
[sic] merely
going to endulge [sic] you in a little quiz. where you can answer all these
questions correctly without your religious claptrap then you can dare to
slander another faith:
I'd just like to point out,
that I don't slander anyone on this site, but I do GET slandered often just for
making this web site and sharing the fact that I put my faith in Jesus
Christ. I can take it, I'm just saying...
I don't think I've "slandered"
Wicca, either. I have only shared my growing problems with it - and how I
came to see the truth.
I'm going to answer your
questions VERY shortly. I CAN write several long answers , but I can't
make you read or believe any of MY words - let alone GOD'S Word. And
THAT is the obvious problem here. Sadly, you're "facts' are a series
of false assumptions, misstatements and/or errors in your references.
"Some people never, ever
learn... Of course narrowminded people don't want to learn. They think
they know everything already."
This IS TRUE... but we ALL can
be guilty of this. Please consider my answers with an open mind.
1.
God said "An eye for an eye" in the old testament, and Jesus said turnt he
other cheek in the new testament. How can Jesus be the messiah when he
preaches the dirrect
[sic]
contrast to the God he represents?
To flip it around, God was
accused by Jonah for ALWAYS being more interested in forgiving than
punishing - and he was talking about a wicked, Godless country! And Christ
threw out money changers in the Temple with a whip!! This turns the
tables again, doesn't it. Actually, its just a case of using different
approaches to different problems.
Another way to look at
it:
Sometime ago, I told someone I HATED spaghetti, yet today it's my favorite
meal. Am I an IMPOSTER of me? No...
In CONTEXT, I was saying
I hated ordering and eating spaghetti in restaurants, but I DO love eating
my mom's spaghetti.
As with ANY book, newspaper
article, etc., it's EASY to create an ILLUSION of contradiction with only
snippets of phrases and comments. Specifically, Christ DID talk
about the "eye-for-an-eye" statement and He (and later the Apostle Paul)
talked in depth on that seeming contradiction. It's one of those DEEP
THINGS long theological discussions are good at!
2.the
messiah was sent from heaven to save the jews from the romans. christ never
lived up to the prophecies.
The "Messiah" was promised
early in the book of Genesis - and He was going to pay the price of sin to
restore the broken relationship between God and man. So, obviously "Rome"
had nothing to do with it at all.
However, historically - Jews continued to hope for a "messiah" each
time they were enslaved by whatever nation. In despair, they created the
additional belief that the messiah would come to free them from political
oppression. While God DID send many men to do this in their history,
this was NOT part of God's prophecy for Christ, the messiah. The
Messiah was going to free them (and us) from the slavery to sin, not a
government.
Christians took over the
roman empire and oppressed the jews under their own god. This was a major
act of blasphemy and also shows Jesus wasnt God's choosen one.
I'm scratching my head on this
one. The Roman government spent its last days killing Christians - it
wasn't converted to Christianity. And the term "blasphemy" isn't one
you can just redefine as you go - it can only be defined by God.
However, what some people did in the name of "christ" in England's catholic
church days... is reprehensible.
To be fair, this only points
to the fact that the catholic church wasn't following Christ's teaching (as
you referenced earlier, he taught peace). In truth, the Catholic
church was acting like the self-righteous religious leaders that Christ condemned again and
again.
3.
If the Hebrew god created the first humans, who whorshipped
[sic] him, how come we
know that people lived before the xian creation and there are religions
thousands of years older than the concept of the one true god.
Ummm... How can there be
people living before creation? That comment shows a lack of any
serious analytical thinking. According to the Bible, God always
existed - and after Creation, man worshipped Him only.
Not surprisingly, it's the
Bible that records the beginning of other religions and false gods. NO
other book or reference has been proven to be older, more authentic or
accurate than the Bible. Because of that, I'll take the Bible's
version of history any day.
4.If
god is all good, all knowing and all seeing, why is there evil in the world.
either he doesnt know and hence isnt all seeing; cant do anything, and hence
isnt all powerful; or wont do anything and hence isnt all good.
Again, you are at a
disadvantage for not even cracking the cover and reading even the first few
pages of the Bible. The "why's" are explained in the first few pages
of the book of Genesis. There is evil and sin in the world because God
created us with freewill and loves
us enough to give us the precious FREEDOM of choice - sadly, we chose sin.
End of story? No... What
He DID about it is was make the ULTIMATE sacrifice and give His Son to die
on the cross for OUR sin.
5.
Why do christians preach tolerence, yet show none?
Well... since you belittled me and my
beliefs, and not the other way around, I really can't answer this question.
I can't prove a negative.
Are some people who call
themselves Christians NOT following the teachings of Christ? Yes.
Does this disprove the need of Christ's love and forgiveness in the world?
No... It does, however, show why Christ was always angry with "religious" people so
much.
This is why I don't like the
term "Christian". These days it refers to a political party or flavor
of music, NOT the teachings of Christ! Today, a Christian is someone
you have to avoid, and treat a certain way.
I'd rather be a "follower of
Christ" - which means *I* have to treat *YOU* a certain way - and you can
look at the teachings of Christ to see how I'm doing.
HOW'S MY LIVING?
CALL 1-555-THE-BIBLE
Christians should have to wear this bumper sticker
not an actual
phone number
6.
If xianity is right, why are
the number of christians dropping faster than ever recorded and the number
of wiccans doubling every 2 years?
Hmmm... I've never seen
anything like those statistics - but let's go ahead and pretend your comment
is true.
In the history of video
recording equipment, it is well known that the Betamax format was FAR
superior to VHS - yet we KNOW which became popular. Do you
seriously believe that what is right is always popular?
...neither do I. :(
7.
If God believes that
forgiveness is unconditional, why is his forgiveness conditional?
We give presents to people
every year for Birthdays, Christmas, etc. They don't work for them,
don't pay for them, or wrap them up. We do all the work to purchase
gifts and present them in as nice a package as possible. All THEY have
to do is to accept... or not.
That is not a condition, it's
just a personal decision they get to make. Would you FORCE them take
the gift? I doubt you would.
Salvation in Christ is the
same thing... it's a free gift. We all have to decide what to do with
it. Accept it, or reject it, it's our
choice.
I dont think you will put
this on your site, as you wouldnt want the truth to get out. So atleast have
the courage to write back to me privately. Im sure your god will give you
all the answers to my questions.
I enjoyed your letter, and
God did give me answers in the usual way - by my using what I've learned
from studying the Bible He provided. :)
I really do hope you can accept my short answers as an excuse to read the Bible
for yourself - and see that what you THOUGHT it says - is actually based on
false impressions and half-truths.
