The world is on a one-way road to destruction. That's what the
Bible says.. and it's hard to read the news without being aware of
it.
What does it take
to survive in this world?
Become a follower of Jesus! Why?
I'm not sure how much of a fad it is now, but the WWJD bracelets
used to be very popular. It said, What Would Jesus Do? Well, some
clever youth minister somewhere wrote an answer to that:
HDYKWJWDIYDKWJD
(How Do You Know What Jesus
Would Do, If You Don't Know What Jesus Did?)
Or to put it another way... It's FINE to talk about
being a Christian, but does it really effect your life? Do you
attend Church and LISTEN? Do you study your Bible? Do you ask
for God's direction in your life - and then live in obedience to His
will?
The FACTOR to being a SURVIVOR is
DYING
How shall we,
that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:2
For to me to
live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Philippians 1:21
The Apostle Paul tells us that we are DEAD to sin
and we should ACT like it. Sin shouldn't rule us, and if it does, it
will destroy us. When we live to fulfill our sinful lusts - we are
causing our own pain - and in the end, our own demise.
There is a way which
seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 14:12
