Volunteering

Volunteer for what? Look around next week, is there something that needs done and no one around to do it? Then volunteer! Volunteering is great fun. You feel good inside when you know you have done something to help others out. It also makes God happy. God tells us to love others more that we do ourselves. God loves us so much He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us. We should share His love with those around us!

Where can you volunteer? Just about anywhere: home, neighborhoods, churches, Bible camps, hospitals, schools, you name it and they probably could use your help.

Start at home and when your parents feel you are responsible enough, ask if you can help your neighbors, or at church. Here are some things you can volunteer to do:

Pet Patrol
 Pets like to be walked, fed, and brushed more than some people have time for. Ask if you can help. The owners will thank you and so will the animals!

Trash Troop
 Is there trash and garbage being ignored.
Help out and make God's creation beautiful again.

Maintenance Missionary
 The people that clean your church & school
can always use a helping hand or two.

Special Visitor or Helper
 You may have to be a certain age, but you might enjoy visiting
people in the nursing home, hospital or offer to be a volunteer.

Secret Servant
 Here's one for you and your family. Do you know someone
that is having a hard time financially? Ask you parents if you can
collect some tasty canned goods, fruits & vegetables, new soap,
and maybe even flowers and a gospel tract. 

Take them over to the person's house, knock on the door and leave immediately!.  Never tell them you did this. They will praise God that someone helped them without wanting to be thanked.
Remember, we do everything for God, not ourselves!
