Some help please!

I hear ya, William!

It can be very hard to "witness". You can come off as weird to some people. An important thing to remember is that SOMETIMES when they are calling you weird, it's because the Holy Spirit has ALREADY been talking to them - and that can hit them as very REAL and WEIRD.

Do you ever discuss or argue about sports with these guys? Or have you ever discovered a great new tv show on some forgotten cable network that you just HAVE to tell them about? (Don't ask me to explain it, but I LOVE watching IRON CHEF on the FOOD Network)

Think of SHARING your faith (what you believe) - rather than SELLING it. We SHARE ideas about sports or tv shows or whatever - and sometimes we are passionate about them - because it's REAL to us, and important. Sometimes we get worked up because "they don't know what they are missing!"

Well, as you learn more about Jesus and walk & talk with him daily - you will grow more passionate about what Jesus can do for others - with that same feeling of frustration - "they don't know what they are missing"!

You know, family and friends may make fun of us or blow us off for MANY of our opinions - but that shouldn't make us feel bad. We KNOW how we feel, and we KNOW how important it is to us.

From another angle - we've all seen the scene from the horror movie where one kid is trying to warn the others about impending DOOM... and his friends just laugh at him - then GULP!

Well, don't let the laughter affect the reality of the impending doom of eternal hell. Be confident in the truth. Their laughing at you doesn't change the danger - or how wonderful Christ is in offering Salvation to us all!

It is God's job to draw sinners to Him thru the Holy Spirit - so you don't have to SELL Christianity to them. All you have to do is pray for them, pray for wisdom, and SHARE your faith. I've known many people that LAUGHED years before... come back to THANK the ones they laughed at - and ask for forgiveness.
