Scientific opinion has moved towards a flat Universe and the latest data confirm this with greater certainty than ever before.

Another result of the study is the prediction that the Universe will continue its steady expansion, which started at the Big Bang, and will not collapse into a "Big Crunch".

"It's a tremendously exciting result - and one that will mean rewriting the text books on the history of the Universe," said one of the research team, Professor Peter Ade at Queen Mary College, University of London.

Hmmm.... Proven, huh? That means no scientist can even question it, right? I mean, it's now a FACT!  Until the next balloon launch, that is! Or maybe the Hubble Telescope will give us a new theory!  Who knows?  Text books are being rewritten all the time with all the new FACTS that disprove the old FACTS.

There is something wrong with that... FACTS are FACTS because they are true and unchangeable. And only God's Word fits THAT description.

I don't want to make fun of scientific study. I think it is useful and important. But we need to understand that there is very little PURE science being done. Most research being done starts with some basic BELIEF. That belief is in the theories of the Big Bang and Evolution. And when you start with a false idea - you end up with false ideas.

If you ASSUME from a black and white surveillance camera that the bank robber has RED HAIR, you may find lots of men with red hair, but not the actual bank robber - IF he has BLOND HAIR!  Just so, If you are looking back in time and there are no witnesses to the beginning of creation - and you IGNORE the historical record of God's Word - you will always guess wrong when you ASSUME it was all an ACCIDENT.  God created the world in six (6) literal days... you won't get that from the telescope... sorry!

The bottom line here, is that now scientists believe that the universe will expand "forever". It won't. God closes the book on the universe in the near future as he takes His children to heaven and rebuilds heaven and earth (book of Revelation).

If you would like to be ready for His soon return, read about the Good News. In the meantime, keep looking up... You might not see the "beginning of the universe", but you might see the return of Christ!
